How many have their advanced tickets? I've got mine. Top row center set at the IMAX for the 10 AM showing on the 15th.

I have not really kept up with the online trailers and everything but Kimmel had the whole cast on a show last week. Don't normally watch Kimmel but did DVR that one. It was interesting to see the empty chair at the end. I'm thinking a silent tribuite to the missing Carrie Fisher.

Guess that "scruffy" ("who's scruffy"?), look of Hamill is real a little bit
    of age creeping in.

Nothing more to say about this one. It will all be reveiled next week.

The problem with going to the movies is that it is very expensive and the experience (in a non IMAX setup) is just not worth it... People with cell phones, overtly loud/compressed sound, advertisements/commercials etc.

I guess thats a whole different thread altogether...

I saw clips of this show on YouTube and enjoyed it. Missed the empty chair
but thought the new baddie actor seemed pensive.

Most theaters have a bargain day where they movie is like $5.00. The local megaplex is Tuesday. IMAX is not part of the bargain in theathers that have them.

And many are getting tough on people who use their devices during the show. Also even though they are not bargain days many times the first show of the
day and some time the the ones up to Noon are considered bargains to get the people in early. I have been to blockbusters that after a week or so have
very few people at the first show, 10 AM, many time seniors who take advantage of this. A few times I have been the only one in a 300 seat theater. Even if no one is there they stil have to play the moive, which many times is
computer controlled so it plays no matter what.

Watch the paper for bargain days and try the first show, you may in for a
    nice surprise.

in advance is all, and I was avoiding ALL trailers and spoilers and
such. I was VERY very pleased with the movie!!!

I ended up going three times, IMAX, Standard 2D and then 3D IMAX, 3 different theaters. I should have gone to the 2D stardard at the same place as the 2D IMAX the screen was not as big as I would have liked it. The theater was packed all three times. I could have come back Tuesday for 5 bucks. Saw it twice the first day it came out.

Now I'm trying to see who is going to sell 3D Blu-rays. Best Buy has a 3D but it is 4K Ultra, I don't have Ultra just 2K 3D Blu-ray. I don't know if a 4K 3D Machine would be compatable with my 3D Samsung TV. Guess I could always buy the machine and Steelbook from Best Buy and if they don't work together take them back. I've got 45 days to find out on new purchases.

I was planning to skip 4K because 8K is already in high end production and sales and would be the next place I go, which would mean new 3D TV, Blu-ray, (or what ever replaces Blu-ray and 7.1 receiver. Bout the only things that I would not replace are the speakers.
