Maybe you need to do something like that for any miscreants when you
threaten a feed cut. <G>
Never done that and no need to with this group.
You and Nancy Backus have us "well trained". <G>
When I was working full time I knew several supers who would write
someone for the least little thing. (I had one who if you disagreed
with him, for whatever reason, wrote people up for insubordination).
Nowadays, people are offended by the tiniest thing.
Dunno why you use my name in vain there... ;) I'm not a moderator, just
a very well behaved user... :)
Or power goes to their head....

Ah, but you are just a heart beat away from being the mod.
If anything happens to me you will named by acclamation.

It was/is more of a power trip.
If he ever said anything nice to someone people were left scratching
their head thinking "What's he up to now?".
Not at all a good situation... ;(

One time I was working traffic control on the FOP lot for a
football game, which generally involved just waving the right people in and shooing away those who didn't belong and a lot of time just
standing around. This particular captain drove by, stopped, and
called me to his car. I thought for sure I was gonna be yelled at for something but he said I looked awfully sharp and drove on. I was dazed and confused for some time after that, figuring it was just the heat
and I imaged that. :)
Apparently he succeeded in throwing you off balance, anyway... ;)

I recall one time this particular superior officer, who was almost
always in civvies, complained to someone their hair was too long when
he himself could use a visit to the barber. I just looked him when he finished yelling at the guy and ran my hand though my hair. The next
time I saw him a week or so later his hair was shorter. :)
One time at the beginning of the school year in August one of the
extra people we needed showed up needing a shave. I took him aside and said to look better tomorrow. Shortly after walking the group to their various posts this captain popped up out of nowhere and berated the guy
in front of everyone. I told the captain I had already mentioned it to him earlier, privately.
It would begin to appear that he considered you somewhat of an equal...

Sounds like he needed a lesson or two in tact... and in proper leadership...

Being a lieutenant I was on more equal terms than a mere officer,
true.

One time at a football game he was chewing out some poor slob over something or other and the owner overheard him. He walked up to this captain and said "You need to work on your people skills" and walked
off. Several overheard this, but not meant for them to hear.
