Not a lot that has to be done... but there needs to be someone there to take care of the little things that pop up every now and then...
The only thing I can think of off hand that's happened is one night there was
trouble with the heat during our cold wave a few weeks ago and maintenance had to be called out. That wasn't on my shift.

Double benefits... and the occasional person to talk to, besides... ;)
Most of the one's I speak to are in passing. They enter the building and pass my desk to the elevator. I'll greet each one and that's pretty much it. And that runs to maybe a dozen people on a busy day.

The perfect retirement job... ;) You get to call the shots now, and
only work the cushy jobs... ;)
Ya got that right!
I often joke since I'm retired I can't really be fired and that I have the boss right where I want him. :)
