    One stop was the Washington Monument and I raced a shipmate to the top on
    the stairs. He was huffing and puffing the whole way and I hadn't broken a sweat not any shortness of breath.
    The stairs are closed now and you have to use the elevator.
    One place I did take the elevator was the Empire State Building a few
    months later. :)

    I can do that when I square dance...but ask me to go up stairs or
    steps, and it's difficult without a cane or a walker.

    Yeah, walking up 100+ flights of stairs is a bit much.
