The cameras are now retired and resting in a drawer.
Sounds like a good place for them.... ;) The phone would be handier,
too, seeing as I'm sure that stays pretty much with you all the
    time... :)

Actually no. I seldom take my phone with me, unless to work.
About 95 per cent of the rest of the time it sits on the desk.

Ah, and now you aren't working fulltime anymore....

Generally the only time I have my phone with me is if I'm expecting
    a call.

I got in the habit of having my phone with me when I'm out, especially
when I never knew when I might be getting an important call about
someone I was taking care of.... or, later, about my mom.... I don't
give out the number indiscriminately, though, so most people that have
the number would likely be important calls...

And should someone call me when I'm riding along I'll pull
over somewhere to either check who its from or answer. (Nearly
everyone has their own ringtone so I can tell who it is or how
    important the call is).

I never did set that up on my phone...maybe some day...

I have one captain, whom I hear from rarely
any more since I'm "on loan" to another one, who chewed people out if
you didn't answer before the first ring stopped. BUT, try and get hold
of him and it was call and call, leave numerous messages and texts and MAYBE he would reply in a few days. But, such is life.

Shows where he thought he was on the scale of importance.... Bet he'd
get more respect, though, if he were more careful to reciprocate...

Nah, he's a real southern end of a north bound horse.
One time working a ball game he chewed someone out about something really minor. The owner of the company, whom I call Big Daddy (a cop in a neighouring
town) over heard him, walked past and said "You need to work on your people skills" and kept on going. :)
