I think all cell phones have cameras now.
And the cameras get better all the time.
My first digital camera had very low pixels and the photo looked like a painting by Georges Seurat, the guy who painted with dots rather than brush strokes. :)
My current iPhone SE is 12 MP, and clear as a bell.
One phone had auto focus, which is fine if one has time for it to focus, and I think Seurat could have done one of his paintings during that time. :)
I was at a big event and wanted pictures and all but a couple were blurry. Hard to auto focus with movement. :)

I think that the car phone my brother-in-law got my mother-in-law

I knew a guy in the mid '70s who had a car phone and everyone thought that was the swellest thing to have. But it cost him an arm and leg to just have, not counting the expense when it was in use. (He used it in his business.)

That makes sense.... the hordes got it out of their systems the day
before, and the employees had had time to clean up after them... ;)

That may be... I've had mine now for a few years, and it was about the

It does seem that the phone cameras are as good as the digital cameras nowadays...

business, and then thought Mom should have one in the car in case she
ran into problems.... She never used it, as far as I know... she was
scared to even try it out, IIRC... ;)

I don't remember us being quite that way.... <G> But we didn't have too
much trouble leaving the kid off at college... But then, we moved him
into an apartment (no dorms on his campus), and stayed the night...
Before we actually left, we took him grocery shopping to stock the
apartment kitchen for a couple of weeks until he'd be able to get his
first check from a part-time job to help support himself.... He was
suddenly interested in learning the nuts and bolts of shopping.... <G>

After about three or four shots they report the batteries are dead or dying (when they are fresh) and other things.
I can take nearly unlimited shots with my phone and never gotten a low battery report.
The cameras are now retired and resting in a drawer.

Sounds like a good place for them.... ;) The phone would be handier,

I think kodak always made multiple "levels" of camera, from the simple,
cheaper point-and-shoots to the nicer ones.

That was certainly true at one point.... may still be, but things have
changed and not really for the better there...
