    The closest thing I have to a Christmas Tree, are 4 old ham radio
    tubes (real glass) that a ham wired small LED lights of different colors
    to, then wired them to a small wall-wart adapter (they rarely get warm).
    When plugged in, the tubes look like they are lit like they were in the antique radios!!

    That sounds pretty neat! :)

    You have to be careful with them, though...as if they are knocked
    over, the glass tubes WILL BREAK!!

    The nice thing is that the lights aren't distracting, and neither the wal-wart or LED lights get that warm.

    Probably so. I think I have your email, but I'm not sure. I can take a
    photo, and send it to you that way. Just send me an email reminder at
    your convenience.

    I don't remember the callsign of the ham who did them (I want to say
    he lived in the Memphis area, or nearby)...but I don't know if he's
    still doing them, or if he's a Silent Key.
