The closest thing I have to a Christmas Tree, are 4 old ham radio
tubes (real glass) that a ham wired small LED lights of different colors
to, then wired them to a small wall-wart adapter (they rarely get warm).
When plugged in, the tubes look like they are lit like they were in the antique radios!!

Mike,
The closest thing I have to a Christmas Tree, are 4 old ham radio
tubes (real glass) that a ham wired small LED lights of different colors
to, then wired them to a small wall-wart adapter (they rarely get warm).
When plugged in, the tubes look like they are lit like they were in the
antique radios!!
That sounds pretty neat! :)
You have to be careful with them, though...as if they are knocked
over, the glass tubes WILL BREAK!!
The nice thing is that the lights aren't distracting, and neither the wal-wart or LED lights get that warm.
Howdy! Daryl,
If You have a Link to a photo or instructions for how to create them,
I would like to see what the Tube(s) look like.
Are the Tubes something fancy like a Eimac 4-125A ???????????
