Several years ago the criminal justice class on campus had their
annual CSI test. Now normally they alert the campus what they are
doing, not to touch anything someone might find, etc. This time they didn't. I was going along in the cart and saw a shell casing laying
near a sidewalk. I made a mental note and going to alert the cops.

Score 10 points for you on the exam.... <G>

On the way I ran into some people in housing I knew and while
talking with them we heard this blood curdling scream and this
housekeeper came running from the boiler/storeroom of this one dorm.
She was screaming about finding "a dead body behind the boiler, blood everywhere". We took off to check it out and turned out to be a dummy, fake blood, etc. The head of housekeeping was not happy over this "practical joke" and threw the dummy into an open top dumpster and told his people to clean up the mess. An hour or so later the CSI people
came to investigate this crime scene and no evidence anywhere.

That's what happens when you take too long to get to the crime scene...
it gets cleaned up, and the evidence is all gone... ;)

Housekeeping told them it served them right not letting anyone know.
From then on they made sure the campus knew days in advance. :)

Makes sense... ;) Unless they were able to set up their "crime scene"
just in their own building, they would need to let others know that it
was a test, only a test.... and to please leave things there so that the
class could take the test... :)

    I am a highly trained observer. :)
One day I making a bank run to have the meter coins counted and the cop I was
riding with made a stop at another bank's drive thru to make a departments deposit. (Marshall has accounts in nearly all the banks in town so one doesn't
think the others are getting all the business.
We were chatting about something I mentioned a row of hedges had never been replaced. He said they were there the day before. I said no, they have been gone a couple of months.
He said "no, they were there the day before. I am a highly trained observer".
I quipped, Then it seems like you need to go back for some remedial training.
    :)
