Indeed. :) Thus showing that one needn't have a filthy mouth to be
    funny...

The only "dirty word" I ever heard the late Red Skelton use was the
same one the late Clark Gable used in "Gone With The Wind" nearly 80
years ago. The battle between him and the censors with the Motion
Picture Association Of America, threatened to destroy the film.

But eventually MPAA backed down, and the film survived....

Nowadays, that expletive is commonplace...as are so many others.

The sad thing is that so many adults think it "cute" when they hear
really bad language come out of young children's mouths.... and so they encourage it...

... I hate 4-letter words: cook, wash, iron, dust, diet.

    Yeah, they did.

I've known some ladies whose tongues are so raunchy, that they'd make
    a sailor blush!! :P

    Sadly, that's true.
I hear more swear/dirty words in one day watching a video than I heard in my years in the Navy.
Reminds me of the old joke.
This little kid is starting to talk and says "Mother" and one parent says to the other, "Aw, ain't that cute, he said his first half word".

I've heard some women who use worse language than men!
And it's always the same few words.
I bet if foul words were deleted from some peoples mouths they would say one-third or more less than they do.

A lady I worked with in a restaurant several years ago, noted the same
thing. I had forgotten about that one. :P

    Joe,

    So have I.

And it's always the same few words.

    <BLEEP!> <G>

I bet if foul words were deleted from some peoples mouths they would say

Several years ago, at a local square dance, I was doing a line dance
routine to this tune entitled "Shut Up Your Face". I had been wearing suspenders, as I had lost so much weight from dancing. During it, the suspenders "popped", nearly hitting me in the face...and I said "Oh,
Hell!!". The caller for the club (he died 3 days after my wife did, also
of a heart attack), said to me "What did you say??"...and I replied "You
    heard me". :P

At least my pants didn't fall down. I would've either given them a
cheap thrill, or a heart attack!! :P

I had a friend in college that every other word out of his mouth was
f--- or m-f or some variant thereof.... Nice guy, really, but you'd not
know it by his speech.... I don't even think he was aware of the
language he was using most of the time... :)

About the strongest word I use is d----/d--- it. People who know me know when that word slips out I am really peeved about something and to leave me alone.
But I still use things like golly, gee, gosh, darn, dang, etc which today almost seems quaint.

Bobby Bowden, one time football coach at Florida State University in Tallahassee, is a fine Christian man (he and his wife, Ann, have been
married over 60 years), but the closest thing he ever got to swearing
    was "dad gum it"!! <G>.

At one church, where he was to speak (he does a lot of Christian
related seminars, motivational talks, etc.), as he was introduced, the
organ played the FSU "Tomahawk Chop Chant". <G> But, the funny part was
that someone asked him "What do you do when you get into a disagreement
or argument with your wife??" -- he paused, and drawled, "You
    know...there's not much I *CAN* do"!! :)

There was an undertone tittering, and then the entire place busted out
    in uproarious laughter!! <G>
