Yes, I remember you mentioning that before.... In an apartment complex
there are not as obvious signs that someone might be in trouble as one
might if living in a single family home.... where things like mail
piling up might be visible from the street... or the mailperson might
    even notice....

Due to sticky fingered nosey neighbors out here, I had to get a Post Office Box. Yet, if I have to get a product via FedEx or UPS, I have
to "be here all day" waiting for it...yet, I have no clue when it'll arrive, and they can't guarantee a delivery time.

That's sadly typical.... And even worse, sometimes it doesn't even come
    on the day stated.... ;)

Sad, but true. I like the way "Ernestine" (Lily Tomlin) dealt with the president of General Motors, when he reported that "his hotline to the
White House went out". She said "we'll be there sometime between March
    and April" <SNORT!>. <G>

Nowadays, you have to wonder IF and WHEN the representative will
arrive. There are some local companies that DO have a GUARANTEE that "if
we don't show up when we say we'll be there, you don't pay". Or, they'll
give you a substantial discount on your next service fee...if not giving
it to you free of charge.

Now, if weather is an issue, I can understand a delay. But, most
people "want to work from 12 to 1, take an hour off for lunch, and get a
    full check".

    It depends on the company.....

Fortunately that doesn't really apply to many people.... it just seems
that way much of the time.....
