So far at least, my son seems to agree with my idea of NO nursing
home... we shall see what happens later... ;)

Both my Mom I hope and pray she won't have to go into a nursing home
or hospice.

I was thrilled that she won it all with "America's Got Talent".

Sounds like she does have talent... :)

She got over 200 million hits and votes for her performances.

I have a copy of the Rudy Vallee show where he introduced Bergen and Vall
goes to great length to inform his radio audience that Charlie isn't a real JM>person. He actually did this on several shows.

Interesting.

But Bergen was not completely unknown in show business at the time. He ha
made several low budget (Educational Films "the spice of the program) shorts JM>the early '30s. One I recall Charlie and Bergen were hoboes.

Never saw that one.

Thanksgiving special in 1950, his first step into television, with Patrick a JM>that character playing a Pilgrim, who was already on stage before he spoke.

I prefer the acts where the entire show is CLEAN. Ventriloquist Jeff
Dunham's performances get a bit salty at times, and his Mom even
protested. But, when she saw how good he was doing (and all the money he
was making), she relented.

When the time comes, one can have hospice at home... at least here, one
can... Just need to have sufficient help or be willing to be pretty
much sleeping with one eye open... Actually, here, there is a
possibility of having aides come in to help, along with a hospice
nurse... We did that for my mom, so that she wouldn't have to leave the house...
