Hope you are getting there by now....

Not quite there, yet. It takes a long time to throw off these head
and chest colds. At least it didn't go into pneumonia.

Yes, that is a good thing.... pneumonia's no fun at all....

    Did you miss that, too....?

We did...but several tornadoes were noted in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.

    All south of you....

We've had showers interspersed with sun for the last three days...
And our forecast also has snow and, with lows in the 20's, sounds
like frost and freeze for us, too, over the weekend and into the
    beginning of next week....

We had a statewide freeze last night...with some spots in north
Arkansas into the teens. Another hard freeze is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday. I think it's safe to say that the 2018 growing season
    is over.

Yes, that's probably a safe statement.... ;) So far we've not been
down into the teens, just the 20s.... Mighty cold for November,
    though...

    Nancy,

    That's what I've heard.

    All south of you....

Today, we've got snow in the state. Accumulations will increase the
further northeast of Little Rock you go, but around here, it doesn't
take much snow or ice to cause travel problems. Never mind the consumer
panic to "get the bread, milk, beer, and toilet paper". :P

I hope we don't get the cold out of the way first, then go
mild...because that can mean an early start to, and a lengthy tornado
    season.

I've nursed more than one person through more than one episode... it
    definitely isn't fun....

We had our first major snowfall of the season overnight... 7 inches
here, double or triple that south of us in the Southern Tier that often
is snowier than the city.... Apparently most drivers figured out the
snow issues when we had an inch or so earlier this week, and about an
inch last week... Roads were quite passable by the time we went out
grocery shopping... and no hint of any runs on bread, milk, beer or
toilet paper... or any other necessities... :) Dribbles of snow are
expected to continue through Tuesday.... but Wed and Thanksgiving Day
are supposed to be partly sunny, and the latter is even supposed to be a
bit warmer than the 30s we've been having... I heard a possible high of
    44.... ;)

I wouldn't mind a nice Indian Summer in the next few weeks.... and then
it can cool down and stay cold for the winter.... I don't much like it
when the temps keep fluctuating.... one never has a chance to really
settle in and acclimate.... We don't have to worry about tornado season
so much, but I don't blame you for not wanting that to be dominant come spring....

We had rain and snow Tuesday. It was terrible. There was white stuff falling down for nearly two whole minutes, that melted when it hit the
    ground.
Naturally the weather people had a field day with warnings about snow,
ice, etc. It warmed and rain set in for a few days. We didn't have
enough snow if it all were collected from the whole area, to make a baby
    sized snow ball.
The way the weather people go on, one thinks they are all frustrated
    ham actors. :)
Friend of mine in Erie, PA wrote they had about 13 inches of snow last weekend. I wrote and told her it was bad here as well, we for a frost overnight. :)

Well... I suppose that is pretty bad for you all.. ;) A week ago,
they'd been predicting highs of 44 for Thanksgiving, which would have
been about 10 degrees higher than what we were having then... then the
forecast pushed it out to Friday, and then to Saturday..... And we are
now getting what the new forecast said... highs in the low 20s.... And
the lows last night were, and the lows for tonight are predicted to be,
in the teens or below.... And it's only November.... Should still be
in the 50s for highs and 30s for lows.... :)
