Daryl... didn't know if you'd already gotten this message, Joe hadn't
seen any messages, and this one wasn't answered yet, so am resending it
along with one other to you and the ones to Joe... :)

Today is the first day in over a month that I've been able to be
    online, and do BBS stuff.

Then it's probably just as well that I did re-send yours as well as
Joe's... he hadn't received because his two sources (Doc's and Waldo's)
both had issues so he missed a lot of messages... Doc's computer died,
and Florence's flooding took out the power for mark, so he ended up
losing the RA bbs, and finally came back up with another bbs software...

Yup, you've told that one before, too.... but maybe in a different
message area... even a different net, possibly... ;)

Probably so...but it qualifies for the thread at hand...whatever it
    was. <G>

Yeah... what were we talking about, anyway.... <G>

I was never one for rye bread.
Or rye whiskey, I'd imagine... ;)

Never picked up the vices of tobacco or alcohol. I had a small sip
of champagne for my Mom and Dad's silver anniversary in 1977...I
thought I was going to puke...that stuff was nasty!!

Maybe it wasn't good champagne, either... At my niece's wedding in
September, they served sparkling apple cider... I can't tell you if it
was any good, since I'm allergic to anything apple... so I think I just
    toasted with water... :)

    When I saw the comment on "Doc's and Waldo's", I thought "Where's

I stay away from the hot and spicy foods...although if it has "a mild
kick" to it, I can deal with that.

We were thinking the same thing... when we couldn't access mark lewis's
Waldo's Place... he was missing in action without explanation for a
couple of weeks I think... then he got another of his bbses set up to be connected to with the wpusa address.... When Doc's went down, he was
able to let Janis know, and she put a note in the COOKING echo, so we at
    least had a clue....

I'm ok with almost anything, except apples and coffee... and like foods
from mild to rather spicy... :)

I couldn't figure out why mine wouldn't connect...turned out to be a different numeric IP on the LAN...so, I had to go into the router and
    change it.

I never acquired a taste for coffee. I love apple juice, but it's like
a purgative to my digestive tract.

That would do it, too... good you have it fixed now... :)

    Nancy,

Well, there is one phone device for this "Hamshack Hotline" that I
can't get to "provision". It's a free phone line deal, but you have to
be a ham radio operator to be eligible, and have to purchase a special
phone. I'll have to get one of the technical gurus to help me out.

I love both apples and coffee, but I'm allergic to both....

It's too hard for me to eat apples, unless the skin has been
removed...and as noted, I don't care for coffee. However, I love
    sweetened iced tea.
