She didn't care too much for traveling and let me know as well.
Over and over and over the whole trip. :)
Did you keep reminding her that it was better than being left at home
with some idiot trying to take care of her and making a mess of it...?
One time I had gone to visit a cousin outside of Detroit, the
cloistered Dominican nun.
When I left a "lunch" was made for me, so I wouldn't starve on the
long trek home (about an eight hour drive). (This "lunch" could have fed several people).
I stopped at a little roadside picnic area in Ohio and let Muffy out
to explore the wooded area, etc. When it was time to leave I called and
called and she never came, which she usually did. After some time I said
in a loud voice, "Well, I guess I'll just have to leave her and she can
fend for herself" and slowly headed back to the car.
As I was loading the car I heard this pitiful mew and she came
creeping out of the weeds. :)
She was not one to roam. A quick tour of the hallway was usually
enough for her.
