The "clients" weren't a problem.
Saw all sorts of people there.
They came in like 90 minute waves.
The first group in new BMW's, Cadillac's, etc.
The second wave were in Mercury's, Pontiac's, etc.
And on down the scale until the final group in old beaters, etc.
The whole strata of society in one shift. And all with drug
problems. The last group had little kids with them...
0430-1100ish.
Was that 4:30 in the morning or in the afternoon....?

Mainly making sure someone didn't park stupid. Taking up two
spaces, blocking someone in, etc.

He worked the same shift, only he was inside. Nice and warm and
dry. As it fit for a boss. :)

The employees were in the building before we arrived, since we had
to ring a bell to get in at 0430.
The "customers" started showing up around 5 when the doors opened.
We never had any trouble from the people. Most were in some sort
of rehab and didn't want any problems. The regular guy was armed, just
in case. We also had radio's in case of trouble or questions, etc.
The people had colour coded cards related to their time. I can't
recall but it was something like blue for 5 a.m., green for 7, orange
for 9, etc.

to ring a bell to get in at 0430.

himself into your building where you had your door cracked open,

Yeah, they had a pretty good system.
I never heard of anyone using the wrong coloured card. If they
tried they would be caught once inside and asked to return at the
proper time I imagine.

I always joked whatever day he had me there it was the worst weather
of the week.
The last time was a day in March and you know how March can be.
We had been in the 60s and 70s a few days before.
The night before I was to work it rained and turned cold, that rain
turned to sleet and everything outside was covered in ice and warmed
to only the low 30s. The day after I worked? It was sunny and in the 60s. I told the guy later he had planned all that and just got a sly
grin. :)

Wouldn't do them any good, since once inside they had to sign in,
etc. If the name wasn't on the list, out they went. Happened
sometimes when people got their days confused. Never a problem, they
just left till the proper time.
