Did you see the video from The Weather Channel recently of the
weather guy "braving" the high winds and rain of Florence? He was
barely able to stand up straight because of the wind, talking about how bad it was, etc yet behind him are a couple of guys just ambling along with no problems? Then he mentioned a shingle that had blown off a
roof and to watch how the high wind blows it away and gives it a toss
and lands a few feet from him. :)
I remember one weather woman in a boat a couple of years ago talking
about how bad the flooding was somewhere, deep water, etc then behind
her are people wading through water only a few inches deep. :)

Just a bit of disconnect between the background and the foreground...
the question being where they dug up the stock footage for the
background, I'd guess.... ;) Although the shingle does make it look
more like a sort of "mugging" for the camera.... does make one
    wonder.... :)

I have never understood why weather people think they have to be out in
the weather to show its raining, snowing, whatever.

You mean you can do that on a computer? Golly, what will they think of
    next?
