    The problem now is the gcc upgrade has caused the coreutils i18n patch to fail so some of the apps can no longer handle multibyte characters properly, such as
    'fold' which I have been known to use to wordwrap utf-8 documents on the linux console. One step forwards, two steps backwards. However the uname patch seems to be working, not that it really ever mattered to me personally. :-/
