This looks much better and I didn't have to change anything hardware-wise. Beats me what went wrong before but if it shows up again I have a couple wireless backups - Atheros based - just in case.

So far three so-called smart devices - two tablets and one phone, all Android based - are liking what they see and have no issues connecting to the outside world using the secure, encrypted wireless hostapd running on this machine. Also this Fidonet message is being posted using the same machine and will be transferred shortly via it's binkd to the mothership for your viewing pleasure.
