    what distro have gcc 7 now ?

    According to the Linux From Scratch - Development LFS wget list;

    http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gcc/gcc-7.1.0/gcc-7.1.0.tar.bz2

    Looks like they are hot on the trail with "Version SVN-20170503".
