  • Number of IPv6 hosts vs. IPv6 Traffic

    Hello everybody!

    There has been some talk about ISPs, smaller or bigger, and their deployment of

    IPv6.

    Although I do have IPv6 enabled on my colocated server with 14 VMs, /26 IPv4 and /48 IPv6, I have to admit that the percentage of actual IPv6 traffic is quite low. Regarding to munin monitoring my IPv6 traffic is approx. 10% on my server.

    How's your IPv4/IPv6 ratio?

    I don't keep count, so I can just give you estimates. I have installed the IPvFox add-on for Firefox so I can see if I access a web page via IPv4 or via Ipv6. I estimate that over 80% of my http traffic (as a client) is IPv6.

    For Fidonet I have 40 password protected links, 21 of which are IPv6 capable. So just over 50%.
