    No IPv6/IPv4 NAT?

No NAT, but if you have an ipv6 capable device (router, linux/windows computer...), you can run a proxy (squid, privoxy...) in it. Then you can access the ipv6 world from your ipv4 devices.

That only works for a limited number of application. http for example.

You should take a look at squid. It can do much more than http. Binkp, for example, as you know. :)

The internet is bigger than http...

For the most people the internet is only http. :D

    Hello Tommi,

On Sunday July 30 2017 11:50, you wrote to me:

Binkp via proxy only works 100% for incoming. For outgoing the proxy does not know where to send unless explicitly told. For http it is different because the

host name of the destination is included in the packet as part of the protocol.

The proxy server can extract the destination host name, do a DNS lookup and get

the IPv6 address. Such a proxy server was once operated by SixXs.

For binkp one has to jump through a lot of hoops to make it work for outgoing and it works only for a limited number of explicitly configured destinations.

Not a practical solution for the general case. Installing IPv6 is easier.

True. I am not most people.

    Cheers, Michiel
