• Display ANSI

From Steven Sheeley@1:275/97 to All on Sun Nov 27 11:44:22 2016

    Hello everybody!

Can anyone tell how/if GoldEd++ can display ANSI codes? When I get a message that contains ANSI color codes, all I see are the control codes on the screen in GoldEd..

You can't. Fidonet messages are text only. ANSI control codes are not allowed in Fidonet messages and therefore Fidonet message editors do not support it.

When I get a message that contains ANSI color codes, all I see are
the control codes on the screen in GoldEd.

You should not get such messages.

    Cheers, Michiel

    Golded+ is a FTN editor.
ANSI is not allowed in FTN messages.

Tell the sender to send the message in a proper format.

He is likely referring to the Synchronet colour codes, which ARE allowed in the Synchronet QWK echos.
