  • Sorting Confereneces by Area

    Hello everybody!

    I would like to sort my conference by Area / Group then by areas with new messages Alphebetised by area name in new/old areas. How do I accomplish this.

    I have my groups defined as below (synchronet assigns the group number)

    AREASEP Y "Local Msg Areas" 0 Local
    AREASEP Y "Dovenet" 1 Echo
    AREASEP Y "Fido US Echomail areas" 2 Echo
    AREASEP Y "Fido Europe" 3 Echo
    AREASEP Y "Fido Brazil" 4 Echo
    AREASEP Y "Fido Spanish" 5 Echo
    AREASEP Y "FSXNet Echomail areas" 6 Echo
    AREASEP Y "Newsgroup areas" 7 News

    ----

    I am using this...

    AREALISTFORMAT " AM CPUN D G " ; layout without descs


    and this

    AREALISTSORT ETMFPU

    What do I need to do to do it best?

    It once (when I had it on the other machine that crashed) separated everything nicely into groups... it is not doing it. Your sort has helped tremendoustly.

    What format do I need to use here?

    Works fine here {shrug} unless you added some keyword that overrides the Group sort, it should work. Maybe turn off options that you don't need or understand?


    Dunno, mine shows new mail by Group then Echo order, then same thing for inactive echoes ... Did you specify GROUP/ENDGROUP keywords properly in config?

    Don't use that one, defaults in effect :)
