Yes, and your previous 2 messages too... But they all just arrived in the same packet.
And I see messages from you in other areas too, just now.

Thank you Sir! Yeah, I accidently had been sending dBridge's QUEUE files are .PKT's to my uplink (doing dynamic file renaming), however, the QUEUE folder are arcmail, where PACKETS folder was the PKT's... when I found my mistake this
morning, everything I had been writing for a week rescanned (by hand) and went out successfully. I feel human again! [coding my own BinkP mailer]

Well, the hard part is finished. I originally started writing my mailer 1/1/2017 - and wrote enough of BinkP to allow me to rejoin Fidonet. I was satisfied with what I had, but, June 6th, I met Fred Riccio - who woke me to the reality that my pascal script on my Linux server needed a lot of work to be
compatible with other mailers. 14 days of serious coding, recoding, we have successfully tested my script can do about 80% of the BinkP specifications without mistake. I leave the other 20% to things we have not thought of throwing at it. I had started interacting with the group on fidonet.online's telegram thread - and realized, take this from CONSOLE to GUI... so that is what I am doing. Plus, Rhenium will also be Open Source, and the prototype runs
from RaspberryPi up to OSX, Windows, Linux, 32bit, 64bit, and is evolving to support NNTP and Email.

So, as I ramble, I guess the answer goes back to what friends say about me, I do it because I can... ;-)

We have a limited number of developers in fidonet, with limited time. So I think it's more efficient if they spend their time on improving existing software, instead of creating completely new software that's just a variant of already existing software...

    http://openxp.uk/

Tried. After fiddling around a few hours without success, I moved on - eventually finding dBridge 3.99 w/ my mailer - and for now - quite happy.

OpenXP and it's continued fork, are --- geared for someone who all the configuration settings are still fresh in the brain... hell, it took me an hour
to get FD and/or IM up and running. Too many terms and settings that were wiped
clean from my lil' brain... an old 60's MFM drive.

That is like saying Tesla's are just a variant of a car. :-P"'"'"'"'"

Rhenium Console - has the ability to look like ol' school stuff - see YouTube.com Ozz Nixon posts (2 or 3 in CONSOLE mode), However, Rhenium GUI, is what Hotline was for the Mac... and much more...

Plus, in spare time, I have been porting old Modem BBSes to TCP using my compiler http://tutorial.modernpascal.com/ ... self threading, and no UI as they are daemons or TServices. Mailer was just my next challenge in all this coding since 2000. Problem is time and now (recently) I have testers.

My issues of "fixing" other people's software are:
    1. Most others are not as good at programming as I am (get that one out) ;-)
    2. If we kept this approach we will all still be runnign CBBS or OPUS or FIDO 3. I like running my own code - so I can make things do what I want...
    4. But, I still mainly to #1 ;-)

Yeah, I guess I used to think that way - when I had a job. I was laid off in 2010, lost my house, trophy girlfriend, and a lot of other things... ended up moving south (where pay is even less) and cannot find a 6 digit income - so I work with my parents and run a small family restaurant.
