Yes, and your previous 2 messages too... But they all just arrived in the same packet.
And I see messages from you in other areas too, just now.

That's a serious effort, so why? There already are a number of good open source alternatives. Maybe it's wiser to spend your time on one of them,
if you think they are missing some features?
I had started interacting with the group on fidonet.online's telegram thread

Hey, if he wants to code another one, I am all for it :) At least he is supporting the BBS community :)
time to check openxp ? :)

We have a limited number of developers in fidonet, with limited time. So
I think it's more efficient if they spend their time on improving
existing software, instead of creating completely new software that's
just a variant of already existing software...

That is like saying Tesla's are just a variant of a car. :-P"'"'"'"'"

Developers at Tesla are with plenty, and have unlimitted resources (compared to fido)! ;)

3. I like running my own code - so I can make things do what I want...

Your quoting software needs improvement! That's not what I wrote!
Me too, but time is my limit. And when your progging all day at work, you mostly don't feel like it in your spare time. At least I don't...

Yeah, I guess I used to think that way - when I had a job. I was laid off in 2010, lost my house, trophy girlfriend, and a lot of other things... ended up moving south (where pay is even less) and cannot find a 6 digit income
- so I work with my parents and run a small family restaurant. It pays
the bills, but, not getting rich doing this - plus, I am not a people person - so this really works on my patience. ;-)
* I stick to #1 in my 4 point list... the editor I am using, really was not designed for quoting quoted messages. :-P"""""""""""
