Hi people.
This is a test from Stepping Stone BBS (1:298/27)
vintagebbsing.com:24556 ... hopefully it reaches out to the rest of Fidonet. Working on rebuilding my Synchronet BBS (Win32). Just got to work out the updates. So far, things are going okay.

Hi Jon, seems to work.

Looking again I don't see a tearline above your origin line. I think the three "-" in your sig may have been taken as a tearline, though I'm not sure.
In any case, I see your message.. :)

I just took the three dashes on my signature. We'll see how that works now. Something new I may have missed as it's been a minute since I had any activity with SBBS.

Yep, this one looks good. Maybe two or four dashes would work.

Looks like that was the problem. Thank you Alan!
I use two before my sig as it has a meaning in usenet groups for
editing purposes... or at least I'm told. LOL!!
I just took the three dashes on my signature. We'll see how that work now. Something new I may have missed as it's been a minute since I ha activity with SBBS.

Taking out the three dashes worked just like intended. I wouldn't
have noticed for awhile or maybe I would have...thanks for pointing
that out to me. I like keeping a tight ship! ;P

it didn't hurt anything having the tear line above your signature... all it would have done, if any BBS or mailer tosser software actually did this any more, would have been to tear off your signature and everything below it... that's exactly what tear lines are used for in news and email... you
below the quoted text... it is just that the folks doing that aren't trimming the shite like they are supposed to do...
