• Testing 2nd mailer on same hardware.

From Michiel van der Vlist@2:280/5555 to All on Sun Jan 7 18:21:58 2018
    Hello All,

To test if it is feasable to run an second system on the same physical hardware, I have installed a binkd that presents 2:280/5556 at 2001:1c02:1100:d700:f1d0:2:280:5556.
It is just a naked mailer, not a complete system and it is IPv6 only. No tosser, no editor, just the mailer. But it should accept connections.

For those who have a password with 2:280/5555, use the same password for 2:280/5556.

Everyone is invited to attempt to connect to 2:280/5556.

    Cheers, Michiel

What are you trying to prove?

I have been running multiple mailers and tossers in the same computer
    for many many years.

What are you trying to prove?

    That *I* can do it.

I have been running multiple mailers and tossers in the same computer
    for many many years.

Good for you. How about sharing that knowledge by writing a Fidonews article about it?

Tony Langdon did not succeed. I thought it would be helpfull if I tried it for myself to see what is involved.

So how about testing a connect to 280/5556 so that I can see for myself that your claim is verifiable?

    Cheers, Michiel

    Perhaps. :)

    I can do that. :)

Meanwhile you can connect by binkp:
    2001:470:1f15:cb0:f1d0:2:221:10
    2001:470:1f15:cb0:f1d0:2:221:360
These are not published in any nodelist, but they are two different
binkp mailers in a same computer.
