• I'm porting classic AMIGA and MS DOS games to the C64!

Ported games are usually hopeless and not worth the effort - you may as well just use one of the C64 emulators for the Amiga and run the original game. They don't use the target computer properly. What you really want is those games *re-written* (and done properly) to the Amiga, utilising the better graphics, sound, etc. that are available.

Agreed, thought this is probably just a troll tread anyhow.

Why are you calling this a troll tread anyhow?

I do not think he fits this categor. The computer term for troll is:

In Internet slang, a troll (/'tro?l/, /'tr?l/) is a person who sows discord
on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such
as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into ...

...into talking about vaporware that will never see the light of day,
hoping to spur someones hopes until the thread has tons and tons of
wasted effort. Fine, troll isn't all correct, but I still think it's
a badly done hoax, fishing for some weird kind of attention and not
worth responding to, just like with trolls.

Just did a quick google for the poster name, it was a wide array of
posts on a lot of old computer Usenet newsgroups telling locals how
various games were all being ported to the correct platform for the
post, as well as some not-safe-for-work posts in groups where such
discussions were somewhat on-topic. All done on the same day.

Weird how people get off on trolling like that.
