Hi all,

I've tried a bunch of different scheduling software on my Amiga 1200 (ACA1221ec, AmigaOS 3.1, KS 3.1, AmiTCP) and for some very strange reason none of them work.

They launch alright, they sit there but never executes anything at any time I have told them too. The same software, with the same settings, on my Amiga 2000 with a 68030 CPU works fine.

I cannot find any reason why this is. The same Amiga 1200 with my old ACA1221 did this flawlessly so I'm starting to think this is an issue with the ACA1221ec accelerator.

Any ideas?

Nah, suppose you want to keep AmigaOS... I don't know.

Btw. I could still not find a floppy or hard disk image for any UNIX- or Linux-like operating system for the Amiga. Unfortunately I have no real hardware Amiga here. Fortunately the FS-UAE emulator I use can run about
any Amiga in about any configuration. So I need an image for any Amiga platform. Anyone any idea or source where to get one? I just want to see
how it works.

You can buy Amiga Forever which has all the ROM:s and AmigaOS and stuff included, or you can browse various FTP sites and other "trucks" from which things tend to fall from time to time...

I did the second option, but may be not extensive enough as it was not
that important. I just recalled I did this when this topic came up and
hoped somebody here already done this and knows.

And it doesn't need to be Amix, because although the latest release dates
from 1992, the license says "Proprietary".

Any UNIX- or Linux-like OS for the Amiga will do. "Free" preferred. It's
not that I will works with it every day, let alone doing business with
it. Just just want to play with it for a short time. Like I do with OS-9
(not the one from Apple, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS-9) I run on
an emulated TRS-80 Color Computer. That's what I'm after.

Btw. are you using a BBS to post here? I try to identify some of the
lines of you header here. Cool. :-)

Is the Cron Daemon running?

Well with Cybercron it launches from sys:wbstartup but I have tried to start
it manually too. With AmiCron it's a executable so I just start that but it never execute anything.

As long as you get MMU setup/working in UAE, it should run fine.

I did already. And noticed I check the linux-m68k.org before. Most links
are dead. The top banner is excited that Debian Potato is soon to be introduced.

On the NETBSD page I found a some 400 MB large image. But couldn't get
that boot in the emulator trying to use it as hard disk image in the
Amiga 3000 and 4000.

Not that important that I go on searching for a working image. May be one
day some bootable image will just cross my way. :-)
