  • GEOS files to .d64?

    How do I copy a GEOS .cvt file to a GEOS64 disk image as a GEOS file?

    A CVT file is an archive like ZIP or RAR.

    You need to copy the file to a D64 image and then use a utility to extract the file.
    The main utility for CVT files is geoConvert, which runs in GEOS.
    There are other programs (for example Omega-Q) that can unpack CVT files, but it can be best to do the unpacking in GEOS.

    I remember doing the entire thing with dirMaster from Style all in one shot. I
    just double click the file and it creates the d64 image around the converted file. If I remember right, it could not copy raw GEOS files, tho.

    Just drag the CVT file on. You can even use the 'batch processing' in the Disk menu to process multiple CVT files at once. I recently downloaded the entire Zimmers GEOS FTP directory and ran it through this process and it worked a charm.

    If you have the .cvt extension associated with dirMaster than double click. If not, then Right click and "open with". or open dirMaster and drag the file onto
