  • using high-speed Internet with a Commodore

    Hi I'm not very familiar with high-speed Internet technology,
    I'm wanting to use either Wifi or Ethernet
    I have noticed Routers have 2 Ethernet cable connections.

    Are there Commodore Wifi or Ethernet interfaces where could I find these.

    I'm stuck with either like so many these days I no longer have a landmine phone, so dialup is gone.

    I know Jim Brain has an interface I need to find out if it only interfaces with
    Ethernet I haven't checked yet.

    Was Contiki a browser? Is it still available on the internet?

    I have a Cradle but that requires a little rewiring was it Wifi?

    Any suggestions.

    Con-tiki is an TCP/IP stack or "OS" for which some kind of text-browser
    exists.

    I seem to recall (but cannot find right now) a Youtube video where a dude
    sets up a Commodore 64 for WIFI access. Then walks to a local caf|- bar
    and tries to blend into a group of others with their tablets and
    laptops. Then unpacks his C64 and goes online. *g*

    I'm looking for info about this myself. I can't tell if its a tcpip software
    or what.

    has the guy from Canada walking through alpha version of wifimodem.

    I'm using wimodem ... works well, but the video is interesting.
