Hi Don Plesky, David Veach & all,
I'm up 3:00am Christmas morning playing with the AmigaOne and checking out TuneNet(V.70a-Paul Heams) and other updated stuff! :) I gotta have jazz!

This is the first time here with AWeb(3.5.07beta); in PPC native. The most recent project done now -- Jim Battle's AIAB -- AmigaInABox. Normally a WinUAE workbench. But, what happens when you put it in Amiga OS4? Heh, pure -- resident evil! :) All considerations, Magellan functions smoother and faster than Scalos IMHO; in Euae 0.8.28.os4.

The big news us OS4.0 lovers are waiting for is a 'final' version update by Hyperion. I looking forward to Petunia - 68K Jit for UAE performance. I think there a MemoryManagement that was finalized; USB support improvements; UBoot updates; Radeon updates; etc.; etc.

Feel free to ask questions about Amiga OS4? ;-) I know a thing or two after a year+ of using it.

    Merry Christmas!
    Dennis & Art

I'll let AmigaOne answer that ;-)

    New Shell process 8
    8.OS4:> cd sdk
    8.OS4:SDK> gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.4.2 (Amiga, Inc. build 20040910)

Recently installed Perl5.8.5 and a 'BASH' shell called abc-shell or 'sh'. People are bringing in OpenSSL and recently -- secured shell --
"OpenSSH 4.2p1". Right, these are OS4 ports!

I know a thing or two after a year+ of using it.

I want to see Petunia! It'll be in OS4update#4 due any day now! Oh, 64bit support will be added to AmigaDos :) The big reason why the final release won't showup is because of crappy harware/platform; Eyetech didn't spend
enough egineering time to do things right.

I'm currently researching & beta testing DVDRtools, DVDrecord, and mkisofs! I would like to someday a nice DVD burner as beautiful as "K3b".

    Merry Christmas!

    i survived :-)

Wonderful me too, and wizzing through the Morphzone & BBRV blog!

Since the A1 has dual boot, I updated to Debian GNU-linux 3.1 - Sarge, Kernel=2.4.26. I like KDE 3.3, OpenOffice1.2, K3b DVD burner, and especially awesome FireFox.

The A1 way life here; yep it works! Look mom, no PC or Windows!!!!!!!!!!
