Good... glad something does. <G> Hey, are you gonna send me the echo info for AMIGA_SALE (I think that's it?) sometime? I'll put it in my system here... just spend a few hours updating and getting everything ready to go for autoupdates... even discovered I moderated an echo I'd forgotten about and just

    got it relisted (OS2BBS)... :)

I thought I did, but I suppose I don't have the Hotmail attachment system figured out. I'll try again, some time this week.

Sure thing... no problem here. Just waiting for DSL modem to arrive next week (even though DSL will be activated tonight), then I'll be online full-time.

Why yes. :) I am considering putting Linux on my LAN server so it can run as my router/gateway/firewall for my LAN... hardware routers just don't offer the flexibility as a Linux-based computer does. :)

They do, you've just got to pay for it! Hardware routers are also much more reliable (this is why my Allied Telesyn kit has lifetime warrenties).

I'd rather use a unix box but to make it failsafe you're again talking router money.

None of which is an issue if it's just a home setup :)

Believe it or not, newer builds of OS/2 have an undocumented, but extremely powerful AIX-like firewall... a Russian programmer deciphered it and wrote Zampa, a GUI configuration program for it.

Now that we're absolutely and completely off-topic, perhaps I, as the moderator, should set a good example and say we move this into netmail. <G>
