Sort of. My configuration for it is still active, and my
system is still creating the nodelist for it (I'm the
European ZC). But the nodelist is totally out of date.
Basically only myself the Swedish and Dannish RC's are
still connected, the rest is gone.

For the net to survive, it needed traffic and enthusiasm. As there wasn't any of either the decision was made to disband Z41 at least.

Well, "going" isn't the right word. But it's still configured, and the nodelist is still produced weekly and send out. So it still exists! ;)

I just had to:
* get new HDs
* spend several days restoring the old BBS HD
* decide the old A1200 is no longer suitable after 11 years in the job
* repair my A4000D
* buy a CS-PPC
* spend several days debugging the machine and getting it all running
* rewrite my configs now that I have no points or downlinks
and then..
* toggle a setting to say AmigaNet is back online

All the current AmigaNet nodes use some kind of Internet-based transportmethod
to exchange AmigaNet files, so that shouldn't be a problem. What country are you in? You seem to be writing as a bbs user from:

Yep, can do binkp - but am fairly easy. If you can send me the current nodelist & echolist to my email addy - llyon at earthlink.com.au I can ge my system details back to you.

Anyone else find that memory fragmentation is the worse issue with reliability? I'm getting around that by using hundreds of MB but that seems a lame fix..
up. And, oh well, snoop got 2048 MB RAM, so your strategy might also work.
