    The power light, on the front of the case, lights up. Sorry, but I

    Remove all expansion boards and check if the box works. Then re-insert one card

    OK, I'll give the expansion card thing a shot. The harddrive does
    spin up, but I get no bootup procedure. And there is absolutely no
    picture on the monitor -- it is blank. Even if the HD was dead, you'd
    think it would try to boot off df0: -- but none of that happens. :-(

    Anyway, thanks for the tips. I'll see if anything can be done.
